Zagreb

As I didn't sleep after leaving Hideout by the time I reached Zagreb I was dead. I slept for 5 hours, grabbed some dinner and then slept until morning and boy did I need it.

The next day I wandered around the city, doing both of the self guided walking tours that were suggest on a map I picked up from the hostel, along with checking out the cemetery. Nothing really stood out as a unique point of interest unfortunately. Don't get me wrong, Zagreb is a very beautiful city and is worth visiting but it doesn't have an individual major attraction. Its cathedral is much the same as many other European cathedrals as is its markets, its cemetery, its parks and its statues. Maybe I'm finally becoming desensitised to European monuments. I guess its not that bad of a thing, as it has taken me 6 years to contract "not another cathedral" syndrome, which many people can become afflicted by in a singular trip.

On my last night in Zagreb I drank at the hostel with a group of ~8 Irish kids. We played a wide variety of drinking games and due to the many bottles of free for all spirits that were sat in the middle of the table we all ended up quite pissed. At around 4am they had convinced me to travel with them to Serbia and go to Exit festival. We were far too drunk that night to work out how to buy a ticket online so late, (big button on the website saying buy tickets) so I decided to just wing it and try and get on their official transfer bus from Zagreb airport to Novi Sad the next day.

I woke up still drunk, packed in a haze, had a few strategic hair of the dog beers to keep me alive and 6ish hours later I found my self in Novi Sad, Serbia.
